Hike the mountain meadows.
During your stay at "Los Dos", you will waken to birds singing, donkeys braying, rockets celebrating a fiesta or saint's day, or perhaps the distinctive tootle of the truck selling bottled gas. You may then linger over a generous breakfast on the veranda with your hosts, artists Georg and Phyllis Rauch. They love to share their stories about 30 years of living in and loving Mexico, and will be happy to make suggestions for your Mexican holiday or permanent transplantion to Mexico!

Relax by the pool.

You may lounge by the pool with a good book (many available onsite), hike the mountain (a birdwatcher's delight), explore the village on foot, or venture out to the surrounding countryside by car. Some of our guests enjoy "hoofing it" the 15 minutes into town. Others catch an occasional ride with Phyllis. Taxis are available at the village square, and a small shuttle bus can be caught at the foot of the hill.

Visit the Studio.

Buses to other lakeside villages pass by on the highway every half hour. Some guests arrive with their own cars, or auto rentals can be arranged at the airport upon or prior to arrival.

Visits to the artists' studio are welcomed, though we appreciate advance notice. There you may look through a large collection of Georg and Phyllis' oils, prints, drawings, and the newest giclee reproductions.

Explore the gardens.

You are welcome to bring along your small to medium sized dog. If your pets remain at home, the Rauch menagerie of dogs, cats, as well as "Oso" the visiting hound, are waiting and eager for petting or play.

Later in the day, after exploring our village, shopping, checking out the local real estate market, or visiting other nearby towns, it's nice to come back "home," stroll through Phyllis' garden, watch the sunset with a margarita, or count the stars from your balcony .

Give yourself a special treat or treatment:

Facial by Katya: An old village home in the center of town, a soft and comfy tiltback lounge, and sweet Katya's 2 hours of creams, facial massage, etc. You'll feel like a new woman. $200 pesos (about $20 US) for 2 hours!!

Reflexology by Dr. Filipe. On appointment he will come to Los Dos and give a 90 minute foot treatment for about $16.00 USD. His healing hands will find those sore spots and sooth away bodily aches and pains as well as accumulated stress. A recent guest comments "The best I've ever had!"
